We have partnered with the Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary and Thenmala Ecotourism Promotion Society to offer a range of unique experiences to our guests.
Cruise through the waters of the Kallada Dam in a boat and watch elephants and wild bison come to the shore to quench their thirst. The sound of chattering langur and macaque monkeys fill the air as they swing across the landscape. Indigenous varieties of squirrels, mongooses and mice scurry around the undergrowth. If lucky, you will spot the majestic leopards and tigers of this forest.
Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a rich variety of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and butterflies. Birdwatching enthusiasts will be enthralled by the 127 species of endemic, migratory and endangered birds that reportedly populate the area. 172 square kilometres of land is densely covered by trees and vegetation. Trekking and camping events in the Shendurney Forest can be arranged upon request (tour guides, security guards and cooks will accompany you, depending on your requirements).
